York Psychotherapist & Counselling
Talking Therapy that meets your individual needs in a safe and confidential space
I’m Lucy, an Integrative Psychotherapist based in York, providing a compassionate and empathetic approach. I believe each of us has the capacity to experience the fullness of oneself, to be understood, heal, and feel truly accepted. It is a privilege for me to support you through this process in the beautiful city of York and the surrounding areas.
My Approach
As a York based therapist, I see each person as having their own unique lived experience. You are your own expert with the choice to share what feels comfortable and right for you during our therapy sessions. I have a holistic approach to psychotherapy, taking into account your emotional, mental and physical needs, integrating the therapeutic knowledge that best fits for you. In our therapy, we can work in the ‘here-and-now’ and explore the past, seeing how one fits into the other, learning and exploring, working towards accepting and integrating as part of your psychotherapy journey.
My Psychotherapy Qualifications & Experience
As an integrative therapist my training allows me to draw on knowledge and research across several modalities, namely Humanistic, Psychodynamic, and Existential. I work in a relational way, which means I value the therapeutic relationship as being a place to facilitate and experience how we relate to ourselves and others.
